Grandchaos is a French electronic project primarily associated with the EBM (Electronic Body Music) and dark electro genres, rather than traditional synthpop. The project is led by Tcheleskov Ivanovitch, who is also a member of the veteran industrial/EBM act Signal Aout 42. The project is based in Lille, France. Their sound is characterized as old-school EBM and authentic, multi-layered dark electro, often compared to the experimental electronic sounds of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
